Students recently took part in the fourth annual ‘Great St Dunstan’s Bake-Off’; the theme this year was chocolate and – to noone’s surprise -the bake-off was inundated with entries. Students had two hours to complete their chocolate showstopper, but there was one catch … no cakes!
Miss Tourle, Head of Design and Technology faculty said:
“Students worked very hard to create their masterpieces. I am incredibly proud of what was achieved in the space of two hours. All students who took part received a certificate and 10 Housepoints. The overall winner was Amber Chapman who created an amazing chocolate brownie trifle with home-made cherry kirsch jelly – it was delicious!”.
“We had three judges for the event. I would like to thank Sue Tucker, Kate Gallagher and Lucy James for taking the time out of their busy baking lives to judge the event.”
“All students should be very proud of themselves and I look forward to seeing them battle it out in the next Great Bake Off.”
“A fantastic event which makes me feel proud to be their teacher! Well done.”
