Arbor 

Arbor is a Management Information System (MIS) used by St Dunstan’s School to store and manage student and parent information, and it includes a Parent Portal and App that allows parents to access and update their child's information. 

Parents can use Arbor to manage their child's school activities as well as check on their attendance, behavior, and progress. 

Key features for parents using Arbor:

Access to child's information: Parents can view their child's attendance, behavior, progress, and upcoming homework assignments.

Communication with the school: Parents can receive messages and updates from the school via push notifications.

Managing school activities: Parents can make payments, book parent-teacher consultation slots, and register their child for clubs or trips.

Updating personal information: Parents can update their contact details and other relevant information.

Accessing a single source of truth: Arbor provides a centralised system for accessing all information related to the child's education, including academic performance, communication letters, and other relevant information.

Multiple guardian access: If there are multiple guardians, each can access and manage their own information.

Language translation: While Arbor doesn't offer direct translation, web browsers like Chrome and Safari have built-in translation features that can be used with the Parent Portal. 

Support for multiple children: If a guardian is the Primary Guardian for multiple children at the same school, they can access all of their children's profiles through the same portal.

What is the Parent Portal and App?

The Parent Portal is our version of Arbor accessible to parents guardians on a laptop or computer.

 The Parent App is the mobile version of our Parent Portal, for use on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. When we have switched on the Parent Portal, you can download the App and begin using it straight away.

On the app you will be able to:

● See your child’s attendance data and easily report any absences

● Be notified of email communications, and reply directly to school

● Receive in-app messages about your child (in place of current texts - head bumps, late arrival from trips etc) or about the school (eg closures due to snow, reminder of upcoming events etc)

● Book appointments for upcoming Parent Evenings
