Budding poet made national shortlist for competition
A budding poet from St Dunstan’s School has made her way into a national shortlist for a competition entered before Christmas.
Ivy Silver, year 8, entered the ‘In My Country’ competition which aimed at celebrating all things British. Her poem is now one of 13 selected across the country to be judged by the well known Scottish poet, Jackie Kay.
When told the news, Ivy said it had “made my day” and was welcomed news to us all in such extraordinarily dark times.
